DEEP CLEANING
MPW provides Deep Cleaning services as the first line of defense in preventing a combustible fugitive dust explosion. More than 280 dust fires and explosions have occurred in U.S. facilities over the past 25 years, resulting in hundreds of fatalities and injuries and millions in fines. In many combustible dust explosions, facilities were unaware that a hazard even existed.
MPW seasoned personnel conduct a facility analysis incorporating safety procedures and deep clean programs tailored to a facilities' operation. Intense manual cleaning methods implement Housekeeping (29CFR 1910.22) standards.
MPW employs diverse Deep Cleaning methods when dust accumulations adhere to structural members (vertical and horizontal), process piping, cable trays, floors, joists, ducts, and process equipment.
Deep cleaning is mandated following new construction and prior to OSHA inspections. Methods include wipedown, mobile pressure washing, hydroblasting (10K-40K psi) and vacuuming. All equipment is properly grounded to prevent electrostatic discharge. |
